With all of the perfumes available on the market maybe you would like to have something completely different. Maybe you would like to make your own perfume. Its not all that difficult and can be a great experience to try with friends or loved ones.

There are several reasons to make your own perfume.

If your looking for that special gift to give your mother, wife or girlfriend then what could be better or mean more to them then some perfume you made? You’re wife or mother would love to get a unique perfume hand made by you in a special bottle. It would also be a great way to impress a girlfriend on date to show her you care and put time and energy into a gift for her.

So, How do you make your own perfume?

There are a few ways but one of they all start about the same. You need to collect some things that you like and think they would meld well together. Flowers, bark and leaves work well, use your imagination.

There are a two popular ways to make your own perfume, I’ll go over the one I think works the best first. You’ll need a stone mortar and pestle, some rubbing alcohol a small bottle and your collected flowers.

1)    Place the flowers and other smell goods into the mortar and pestle and give it a rough grind.
2)    Add small amounts of water to get things a little lose.
3)    Give it another grind; we’re going for a really thick paste.
4)    Add a splash of alcohol; this helps to extract the oils from the smell goods.
5)    Give it a strong grind, it should be lose and juicy.
6)    Add some more alcohol and let it sit for a few minutes.
7)    Strain your mixture into an air tight container

You should now have some very nice homemade perfume.

The second way to make your own perfume is as follows
1)    Get a mason jar and fill it about half way with alcohol
2)    Throw in your smell good plant parts.
3)    Seal the jar and let it sit in a dark cool place for about a week, this lets the natural oils leach into the alcohol.

Once you have your perfume made you can place it in unique bottles and give it as gifts or keep it for yourself. So there you have it, isn’t hard to make your own perfume it can be a rewarding experience and you’ll end up with a nice gift.

Angel Perfume - Strait from heaven to your nose.

It seems oh so long ago but in 1992 a design house by the name of Thierry Mugler created a fantastic perfume. They gave the heavenly name Angel perfume. Angel perfume smells like what you could imagine an angel smelling like with its sweet mix of sandalwood, vanilla, patchouli and a variety of fruits including fresh citrus, melons, peaches and plums. I would rate this as one of the better perfumes available on the market currently.

Be treated like the angel you are.

With a name like Angel perfume you get the idea that this must be something special and it is. It truly does smell like something God himself would send down to show that he still cares about women. If you’re wearing this during the day you can expect to have a torrent of comments paid to you so be ready to tell everyone who asks that you’re wearing Angel perfume and where you got it because they will want to buy some for themselves.

Angel’s face without designer price shock.

Angel perfume is a designer perfume; it however is very reasonably priced. Thierry Mugler is in this business for the long haul and not a quick buck so you can expect a quality product like the five beauty products they released in 1999. Thierry Mugler wanted women to not only smell good but to look good too. To make this a reality they released body sprays, masks for your hair and face under the name D’Angel. Now you could look good and get this wonderful smell to stay with you all day.

Angel perfume would make a fantastic addition to your beauty and makeup arsenal. You’ll be left with lots of happy warm memories from your day and the compliments that you received that day. Angel perfume is something that you can think of as a way to treat yourself to something nice while treating everyone around you to a fantastic smell all day long.

Not all perfumes work for all women.

As a lot of you know some women can’t wear some perfumes. It’s a simple matter of chemistry; their body’s own natural pheromones are at odds with the perfume. This is especially true for perfumes based on patchouli. I encourage you to try a tester at the fragrance counter at a mall or perfume boutique to see how it wears on you before you buy.

Moving the 800lb gorilla isn’t an easy task.

Angel perfume may still have a few things to surprise you. We all know and love Chanel No. 5 but you may not know that in France in 1998 Angel perfume toppled Chanel No. 5 for the number one perfume. This is largely due to the fantastic blend of sandalwood and patchouli. It gives angel perfume something to make it stand apart from the crowd and give it it’s own legs to stand on.

The History of Christian Dior Perfume

Miss Dior, the first fragrance

The history of Christian Dior Perfume starts with when first perfume was released in 1947. It was Miss Dior, a classic chypré, with green and floral accents. Launched at the height of the New Look, its thoroughbred fragrance and pared-down lines made it a truly haute couture scent. Miss Dior also inspired the house’s most recent launch, Miss Dior Cherie. Chypré, fruity and airy, it too sings the praises of the New Look’s code of elegance. Among their shared facets: the bow around the neck, and the very fashionable pied de poule pattern.
